Strawberry Fields

Winter in New England. Cold for sure, but still enjoyable if you bundle up! I absolutely love the moody, overcast skies against the ocean and salt marshes. Strawberry Fields offers a short and lovely walk, perfect for kids! When you reach a small "island" at the end (you just have to wade through some puddles to get there), there is a lovely little shoreline to explore. Emmy "saved" lots of snails by tossing them back into the water, and we found a horseshoe crab nesting area. There is also a rocky beach with knobby trees to play in, big boulders to climb on, and marshy banks to explore. If you decide to visit, make sure to wear mud boots! It's one of the wetter properties we've visited, but absolutely beautiful and a favorite venture of ours!
